Notable 2026 Co-Chairs and Committee Members

The guest list was shared on Monday afternoon with the media lining up at the red carpet. This came after a slew of stars were already revealed to be attending as the gala’s co-chairs and committee members for 2026. This year’s co-chairs Beyoncé, Venus Williams and Nicole Kidman, as well as Anna Wintour, now in her new role as Condé Nast’s chief content officer.

Kidman and Williams attended the 2025 Met Gala, but this will be Beyoncé’s first appearance in a decade. The four chairs will be joined by Anthony Vaccarello and Zoë Kravitz, who will also co-chair the celebration’s host committee that includes additional celebrities who will undoubtedly be dressed to the nines in designer wear.

Theme and Dress Code for 2026 Met Gala

The 2026 Met Gala theme is “Costume Art,” with the dress code described as “fashion is art.” Beyoncé, Kidman, Williams and the rest of the VIP guests are expected to interpret the theme and dress code by expressing “their own relationship to fashion as an embodied artform,” according to Vogue’s guidelines.

At last year’s Met Gala, Rihanna surprised guests, fans and Met Gala viewers by revealing her pregnancy, André 3000 literally carried a piano on his back, and Bad Bunny honored his Puerto Rican roots, while Zendaya and Anna Sawai had nearly identical looks.
