Canberra-based consulting firm Grosvenor has appointed Charitee Davies as its new Growth Lead, tasked with scaling the business sustainably while nurturing people and culture. The appointment comes as the firm continues to expand its operations across governance and assurance, public sector advisory, procurement, and evaluation.
Strategic Leadership for Sustainable Growth
In her new role, Charitee Davies has been tasked with strengthening Grosvenor’s ability to scale sustainably while nurturing its people and culture. She leads Grosvenor’s Growth function, which brings together the delivery of projects, client engagement, and business development. Additionally, she mentors consultants across the firm to build confidence and capability in growth activities.
Davies has been with the consulting firm since 2008 and is recognized as the architect of the firm’s award-winning Visible Expert Program. This program played a key role in Grosvenor being named AFR Boss Best Place to Work in Professional Services and a finalist in the AHRI Best Learning & Development Strategy Award.
‘Charitee embodies the balance we look for in our leaders,’ said Peter Macfarlane, Director and Chair of Grosvenor. ‘She has a strong external presence as a trusted governance and assurance expert advisor to government, and now adds an internal focus through her Growth Lead role. Her ability to grow capability and culture, alongside the business itself, is what makes her appointment so significant.’
Focus on People and Capability Development
Davies said she is energized by the opportunity. ‘To me, growth isn’t just about winning new work – it’s about growing our people, our capability, and our culture. I’m looking forward to working with colleagues across the business to continue building the confidence and skills that underpin sustainable success.’
The appointment of Davies comes at a time of continued momentum for Grosvenor, which has been expanding its work across governance and assurance, public sector advisory, procurement, and evaluation. The firm has seen consistent growth in its client base, with a notable increase in public sector contracts over the past three years.
Grosvenor has been named AFR Boss Best Place to Work in Professional Services in 2022, and the Visible Expert Program has been recognized for its contribution to employee development and retention. The program, which launched in 2016, has helped the firm build a culture of continuous learning and leadership development.
According to internal reports, the firm’s revenue has grown by 15% year-over-year since 2020, with a significant portion of that increase attributed to the expansion of its public sector advisory services. This growth has been supported by the firm’s commitment to innovation and employee development, which Davies has been instrumental in shaping.
Analysts suggest that the appointment of Davies as Growth Lead could further accelerate Grosvenor’s expansion plans. ‘Her track record in building both organizational culture and business capability makes her an ideal choice for this role,’ said one industry observer. ‘With her leadership, Grosvenor is well-positioned to maintain its momentum in the public sector and beyond.’
The firm is expected to announce new initiatives and expansion plans in the coming months, with a focus on digital transformation and enhanced client engagement strategies. These efforts are aligned with the broader industry trend of consulting firms investing in both technological and human capital to drive sustainable growth.
Grosvenor’s current portfolio includes over 200 active projects across Australia, with a growing number of clients in the federal and state government sectors. The firm’s recent work has included strategic advisory services for major infrastructure projects and procurement frameworks for public health initiatives.
As the firm continues to grow, the appointment of Davies is seen as a strategic move to ensure that expansion is both sustainable and inclusive. ‘It’s not just about increasing revenue, but about ensuring that every member of our team has the opportunity to grow and contribute to the firm’s success,’ said one senior consultant.
