This marks the first time a multi-camera setup with three tracked cameras has been used in such a live virtual production setup.
Michael Eberhard, SWR’s director of technology and production, emphasized the potential of the technology, stating it could “open doors for collaboration in public broadcasting” and allow for more creative and efficient live productions. The project will take place over four hours each day on October 24 and 25, with the programs streamed on Twitch. This collaboration is seen as a significant step forward in the evolution of live broadcasting and streaming technology.
SWR Barroselas Metalfest Announces Lineup
Meanwhile, in Portugal, the SWR Barroselas Metalfest is gearing up for its 26th edition, set to take place from April 29 to May 2, 2026. The festival has announced its first 20 bands, including notable names such as Revenge, Exhumed, and Bulldozer.
