Three people were killed and two injured in an active shooter incident in Twin Falls, Idaho, around an In-N-Out Burger and other businesses on Saturday, according to Twin Falls spokesperson Josh Palmer. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. and led to a shelter-in-place order and closure of nearby businesses, including a Chick-fil-A and Magic Valley Mall — a fourth In-N-Out location in Idaho opened on July 24.
Seattle Shooting Involves Gang-Related Gunfight
In Seattle, two people were killed and four others were shot after a “targeted gang-related” gunfight broke out and shots were fired into a crowd, according to Seattle Police Chief Shon Barnes. A 15-year-old suspect is in custody, and another suspect, 19-year-old Junior Cee Niko Semo, was killed; Barnes said the victims were not connected to the suspects. Investigators retrieved 14 shell casings and three firearms from the scene, including a ghost gun from the 15-year-old suspect, as a potential sixth victim self-reported to the hospital but could not be identified by authorities.
Philippine School Shooting Involves Bullying Motive
In the Philippines, three students were killed and at least seven others injured when two of their peers opened fire at San Jose National High School in Tacloban City on Monday. The suspects, aged 14 and 15, were arrested, and a police-issued pistol and a registered revolver were recovered from the scene. According to Philippine National Police spokesperson Allen Rae Co, 40 empty shells were found, and initial interviews suggested the motive may be related to school bullying. Family Tragedy in Austria Involving WWII Weapon
The weapon used was a World War II-era P38 pistol, which was later found in the parking lot, while Emergency responders said there was no danger to the public, and a suicide note was recovered. In Austria, an 88-year-old man shot his 89-year-old wife and 61-year-old daughter in front of a restaurant in Linz on Thursday before taking his own life. Local residents described the scene as shocking, with several shots fired and three bodies found in the parking lot, as an inheritance dispute is being investigated as a possible motive.
