Management Shakeup at Air Canada
Air Canada CEO Michael Rousseau is set to retire this year after facing criticism for sending a condolence message in English only following a recent fatal plane crash in New York. The message, which lacked French subtitles, led to hundreds of complaints to the Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages — Premier Mark Carney called Rousseau’s retirement “appropriate,” emphasizing the need for the next CEO to be bilingual. Air Canada operates from French-speaking Quebec and serves a bilingual nation.
Verkehrsminister Steven MacKinnon thanked Rousseau and said the government will continue to collaborate with Air Canada to ensure a safe, reliable, and bilingual service for all Canadians. Rousseau informed the board he will leave by the end of the third quarter of this year.
Football Manager 2026 Adds National Team Mode
Football Manager 26 will officially include national team management for the first time, thanks to a licensing agreement with FIFA, according to Indigo Geek. The update, free and available from May 26, will let players manage national teams, handle international tournaments, and prepare strategies ahead of major competitions. This comes ahead of the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted by the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.
The update also includes gameplay improvements tailored to international football, such as new tools for managing national squads and simulating international fixtures. The feature is part of a broader push to expand the game’s scope beyond club management. Sports Interactive said the collaboration with FIFA has been years in the making and will add official content to the game for the first time.
Audi also announced leadership changes in key markets like China and Canada as part of its 2026 strategy. Vito Paladino, who leads Audi Canada and Volkswagen Group Canada, will take over as president of Audi of America. Khaled Soussi will replace Paladino in Canada, bringing experience from Seat’s commercial strategy and customer experience roles.
