Ella Langley swept the 2026 ACM Awards, winning all seven categories she was nominated for. According to Country Now. The milestone night saw Langley break multiple records and earn the most wins by a single artist in a single ACM Awards night — the Alabama native took home seven trophies, surpassing previous records held by artists like Chris Stapleton, Faith Hill, and Garth Brooks.
Record-Breaking Night for Ella Langley
The ACM Awards took place on Sunday, May 17, and were held live from Las Vegas. Langley’s wins included both artistic and songwriting accolades, including Song of the Year and Single of the Year for her hit song “Choosin’ Texas.” In addition, she received the Artist-Songwriter of the Year award before the ceremony even began.
Langley accepted the Song of the Year award as both an artist and a songwriter, with Miranda Lambert, Joybeth Taylor, and Luke Dick by her side. “If you’ve ever met me. You know that I am not at a loss for words very often. And all I got to say is thank you God for putting me in a room with these three people right here,” Langley said in her acceptance speech.
Historic Achievements and Collaborations
Langley made history by becoming only the third female artist to win the Single of the Year category for two consecutive years, joining Miranda Lambert and Faith Hill. She first won the award in 2025 for “You Look Like You Love Me,” a collaboration with Riley Green.
In addition, she became only the fourth female artist to win multiple times in the Single of the Year category, joining Lambert, Hill, and Carrie Underwood. Langley also shared another win with Riley Green for their collaboration on the title track of his latest album, “Don’t Mind If I Do,” which earned them the Music Event of the Year award.
This win marked the second consecutive year that Langley and Green have won in this category. The only other artists to accomplish the feat are Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, who earned back-to-back wins in 1998 and 1999.
Emotional Acceptance for Female Artist of the Year
Langley’s final win of the night came in the form of Female Artist of the Year. Fellow nominee Lainey Wilson was the first to hug Langley before she took the stage to accept the award. The emotional moment was evident as Langley fought back tears before delivering her speech.
“Today I was having a strange day. I don’t know what it is about awards, but I have strange days in the mornings here,” Langley said. “And I walked right into Lainey’s room and I just got emotional and she hugged me and wrapped me up and started praying for me. And then all of a sudden here comes Miranda Lambert in her little pink hat. And I would not be standing up here without the encouragement of so many women.”
Langley expressed her gratitude for the female acts who have supported her along the way, calling out Lambert, Wilson, and Kelsea Ballerini. She also thanked her family for their support and for “being weird as always.”
“Thank you Jesus for letting me do this for a while. Thank you to the ACM’s… Thank you to the women. I would not be standing up here without that, so thank you,” Langley concluded.
By the end of the night, Langley had won every category she was nominated in, setting a new record for most wins by a single artist in a single ACM Awards night. The previous record had been held by Chris Stapleton, Faith Hill, and Garth Brooks, who each won six awards in a single night in 2016, 1999, and 1991, respectively.
Langley also performed a stripped-down version of her viral hit, “Be Her,” during the show. The performance was part of the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards, which featured performances by a range of country music stars.
