Erika Kirk. CEO of Turning Point USA and widow of founder Charlie Kirk, has been at the center of multiple controversies since her husband’s death last September. She recently addressed conspiracy theories that falsely claimed she was involved in his assassination or linked to Jeffrey Epstein, according to The Daily Beast, but her legal team sent a cease-and-desist letter to Blake Campbell, who the false claims online.

Conspiracy Allegations and ‘Transvestigations’

Kirk has also become the target of a right-wing conspiracy trend known as ‘Transvestigations,’ in which prominent women are falsely accused of being trans or born male. According to NTV. This phenomenon has targeted figures like Michelle Obama, Brigitte Macron, and Taylor Swift. Kirk, as a key figure in the MAGA movement, is now being scrutinized by anti-trans groups who claim she was born male, based on alleged physical and behavioral traits.

Blake Campbell, who has been spreading these claims, was reportedly called out by Kirk in a public response. She said, “Your deranged obsession with me and blatant disregard for any form of truth whatsoever is deeply disturbing and I am praying you get the help you so clearly need.” According to The Daily Beast, she also told him, “Brush off the Dorito dust and go touch grass.”

Threats and Arrest in San Antonio

In a separate incident, Jacob Wenske, a 26-year-old from San Antonio, was arrested in early June for making threats against Kirk ahead of a Turning Point USA event. According to KSAT, Wenske posted on social media in April that he “knows exactly where to bomb” and wrote, “I can’t wait to be the valet for her escort.” In an email, he allegedly stated, “Death to Erika Kirk and every single speaker there!! America will live on without those scum on this earth.” His bond was set at $120,000.

Wenske was scheduled to speak at Turning Point’s Women’s Leadership Summit in San Antonio from June 5–7. Kirk became CEO after her husband was fatally shot at a Turning Point event in Utah last September.

Emotional Trauma of Shooting Incident

Just months after her husband’s death, Kirk found herself in another traumatic event at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, D.C. According to ABC, she was inside the Washington Hilton when a shooting occurred. She was seen being escorted out by Secret Service agents, visibly emotional and repeatedly saying, “Solo quiero irme a casa,” or “I just want to go home.”

Donald Trump and Melania Trump were also evacuated during the incident, which caused panic among attendees. According to witnesses, Kirk was visibly shaken and was later comforted by FBI Director Kash Patel, who had also lost a family member in a similar incident.

These events highlight the growing threats and public scrutiny faced by Kirk, who continues to lead Turning Point USA in the wake of tragedy and controversy.
