The college is set to meet with key state officials, including Senate President Ben Albritton and Governor Ron DeSantis’ office, as part of its outreach efforts.
Leaders from New College will also have the opportunity to connect with members of the local legislative delegation. The day will conclude with a reception at the Governor’s Club at 5:30 p.m.
In another development, Florida’s four nonprofit specialty children’s hospitals are collaborating to improve pediatric cancer care across the state. A $30 million investment aims to expand services and ensure children receive advanced treatment without leaving Florida. The hospitals — Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, Nemours Children’s Hospital, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, and Wolfson Children’s Hospital — are working together to improve outcomes and share resources for families facing childhood cancer.
