Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini condemned the Congress party on Sunday for actions he said undermine the nation’s dignity. Speaking in Chandigarh, Saini targeted recent protests by Congress members at a summit in New Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam. “Embarrassing the country on international platforms has become part of the DNA of certain individuals,” he stated.

Saini described the protest tactics as highly unfortunate. Distinguished intellectuals, policymakers and representatives from around the world attended the event, he noted. Such behavior at a global forum damages India’s reputation, according to the chief minister. He demanded strict measures against those involved to prevent future incidents that erode national pride.

Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India is advancing rapidly, Saini emphasized. The country’s global standing has improved markedly. Opposition conduct at this juncture is irresponsible, he added.

Saini also addressed the start of Haryana’s Budget Session of the Vidhan Sabha. Governor Bandaru Dattatreya delivered the opening address, outlining government achievements to lawmakers and the public. The session highlights progress in key areas.

The state government has delivered permanent housing to the poor. Youth received transparent job opportunities. Farmers secured fair prices for their produce. Every needy resident gained health coverage through the Ayushman Bharat scheme, Saini said. These steps reflect a commitment to public welfare.

“We are fulfilling the people’s expectations,” the chief minister declared. Haryana’s administration prioritizes development and positive change in daily lives. Saini reiterated that the Bharatiya Janata Party government remains focused on these goals amid political tensions.

The remarks come as political rhetoric heats up ahead of elections. Congress leaders have not immediately responded to Saini’s charges. Haryana’s assembly session continues with debates on the state budget and policy initiatives.
