Britain’s leading beauty retailer Boots is set to open its second ‘beauty-only’ store in Bristol this spring, marking a significant expansion of its retail strategy. The new Boots Beauty store at Cabot Circus will be the first outside of London and aims to deliver an advanced beauty retail experience, including free skin scans and expert advice.

Expanded Retail Experience with Advanced Services

The store, located at Cabot Circus in Bristol, will serve as a premier beauty hub for shoppers across the South West and Wales. It will offer an immersive approach to exploring the newest developments in beauty, including free skin scans and personalized expert wellness advice from Boots’ specialist team.

The new outlet will be stocked with over 200 brands across skincare, haircare, fragrance, cosmetics, premium beauty, and electrical beauty, including popular names such as Kylie Cosmetics, One/Size, Wonderskin, and SheGlam. New-to-Boots ranges and UK high street exclusives will also be available for the first time.

A dedicated space for niche and independent fragrances will be included, addressing the growing demand for unique and artisanal products. The store will also showcase one of the most extensive K Beauty collections in the UK, featuring brands such as Beauty and Joseon and Dr Reju-All, in response to the increasing appetite for South Korean beauty products.

Integration of Wellness and Beauty

Recognizing the growing convergence between beauty and wellbeing, the Bristol store will include a new Wellness Zone, bringing together inside-out beauty and wellness products such as collagen and supplements from Boots Brands, Habi, and Modern Chemistry into one easy-to-shop space.

Exciting new services will be offered free of charge, including skin scans and personalized expert wellness advice. This approach is designed to provide customers with tailored guidance based on their individual needs.

To support this, the new store will create 30 specialist roles, including derm-trained pharmacists and specialists for both beauty and wellness. This reinforces Boots’ commitment to elevating expertise and service on the high street.

Paul Niezawitowski, beauty director at Boots, said: ‘Boots is the unrivalled home of beauty in the UK, and this new store gives us the perfect stage to showcase the best of Boots in one of the country’s most vibrant and creative cities. We hear a lot from customers that they want immersive shopping experiences, expert guidance and inspiration, and with price points from 50p to £500, our next Beauty only concept store certainly delivers on that and more. We’re delighted to bring to life this next exciting step in our beauty transformation.’

Part of Boots’ Broader Retail Transformation

The launch forms a key part of Boots’ accelerated beauty transformation programme, which is changing how customers discover beauty across its estate. The Bristol store brings together learnings from recent successful store concepts, including the first Boots Beauty store which opened in Battersea Power Station in 2023, the Boots Fragrance Boutique, and newly elevated wellness formats in six stores nationwide.

The store also supports the company’s wider investment in transforming its store estate and elevating the customer experience for health, beauty, and wellness nationwide. Boots now offers over 500 beauty brands across stores and online, with almost 60 new and trending names added last year.

More than 180 beauty halls have already been revamped to improve layout, navigation, and product discovery, making for an ever more immersive and enjoyable beauty shopping experience for customers. The new Bristol store is expected to further enhance this experience and set a new benchmark for beauty retail in the UK.
