Olivia Attwood sought retail therapy at Selfridges to mark her first Valentine’s Day without a partner in nearly two decades. She shared the detail during a recent episode of her podcast The Sunday Roast, co-hosted with longtime friend Pete Wicks.
Attwood told Wicks she took herself shopping that morning, saying, ‘I need to buy something to console myself.’ The former Love Island star admitted the outing underwhelmed her. Selfridges brimmed with couples, she said, prompting a quick exit. Purchases proved lackluster. What she craved instead: a quiet viewing of Wuthering Heights.
Wicks, 37, confessed his own low-key plans. He stayed home with pizza. The pair laughed over an ASDA promotion swapping green baskets for red ones, signaling shoppers open to chats. Attwood called the idea her ‘worst nightmare.’
Her candid remarks follow an emotional Instagram post on Valentine’s Day. ‘Happy Valentine’s Day my cherubs I love you all so much x. My first Valentines without a boyfriend since I was like 14 years old lol so I took myself shopping obvs,’ she wrote to followers.
Attwood confirmed the split from Dack, a Sunderland footballer, in a raw statement last month. She described crying herself to sleep amid sudden changes, including moving into a new apartment alone. ‘Vulnerability is not my bag!!! Especially on social media,’ she posted. The marriage lasted three years. Reports pointed to a ‘breach of trust’ on Dack’s part, though she has not elaborated publicly.
She expressed hopes for happiness for both. ‘I want to be happy. I want Brad to be happy. Just one day at a time. For both of us,’ Attwood wrote. A reshared video captured her mindset: ‘Forever the girl who needs to stay busy to be okay.’
True to that ethos, Attwood dives into work. She hosts the Olivia’s House podcast and a KISS FM radio show with Wicks. Cameras roll on the next series of her ITV documentary Getting Filthy Rich. She just landed a Garnier skincare ambassadorship, celebrated at a Thursday launch party at The Newman Hotel in London. Attwood partied late with Wicks and friends, leaving in the early hours Friday.
A week prior, she teased a new ITV project called The Heat. ‘What I told you about work being busy lol… brand new tele. I promise you don’t want to miss this,’ her Instagram caption read. She mentioned ramping up workouts and filming to stay distracted.
Attwood shows no signs of slowing. The latest Sunday Roast episode hit YouTube this week, drawing fans to her unfiltered take on single life and heartbreak.
