Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun’s relationship remains steady months after romance rumors first surfaced. An insider described it to Us Weekly as “very casual and laid-back.” Sweeney has no plans to settle down anytime soon.

“She’s hesitant to get into another serious relationship but is enjoying her time with him,” the source said. The pair, aged 28 and 44, were first linked in June 2025 during a walk in Italy ahead of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding. Sweeney had recently ended her engagement to film producer Jonathan Davino, with whom she had been for seven and a half years. They got engaged in 2022 and split earlier that year.

Public sightings followed in Los Angeles and New York City through the fall. By October 2025, another insider confirmed to Us Weekly they were dating and things had grown more serious, though without labels. “Sydney has been having a lot of fun with Scooter,” that source said. “It’s been low-pressure for both and a different relationship for her.” Braun introduced her to fresh business ideas, the insider added.

The connection surprised them both. In November 2025, a source noted neither expected seriousness at first. “They’re surprised by how genuine it has become,” that person said.

Sweeney addressed her love life in a January Cosmopolitan cover story. She played coy about Braun, saying, “I’m still figuring out love, and it’s hard to do that with millions of people who have their own opinions.” On Davino, she reflected, “I was in a relationship for a very long time… I was very private. No one would ever see us.” Public romance presents challenges, she added.

She described her ideal partner as “athletic and outgoing and funny.” Sweeney called herself a “sporty girl” who needs someone for mountain climbs and skydiving, plus family-oriented. “I am a boss in my life. I take control… I don’t actually need a man,” she said. One guy she liked couldn’t handle her fame.

Braun finalized his divorce from Yael Cohen Braun in September 2022 after their 2014 marriage. They share sons Jagger, Levi and Hart, with joint custody.

Beyond romance, Sweeney faced a busy 2025. She starred in upcoming films The Housemaid and Christy, drew backlash over an American Eagle ad, and launched lingerie line Syrn. The insider said she’s in a better headspace now after feeling misunderstood. “She’s really excited about the line and has been pouring her heart and soul into it,” the source told Us Weekly. Inclusivity matters to her. Braun admires her drive and business sense.
