Banyan Group Singapore has revealed a new line of wellness initiatives, including the launch of Connections Retreats, designed to offer immersive, multi-day experiences centered around wellbeing and personal reflection. The retreats, which are set to debut in 2026, are part of Banyan Tree’s ongoing commitment to enhancing its complete approach to wellness, which has been a cornerstone of the brand since its inception over three decades ago.
Connections Retreats: A New Focus on Personal and Shared Experiences
At the heart of Banyan Tree’s evolving wellbeing offerings is the introduction of Connections Retreats. These multi-day journeys are designed for small groups and are tailored to the natural rhythms and cultural context of each destination. Each retreat includes guided practices such as mindfulness, movement, meditation, and local rituals, with the goal of helping guests slow down and reconnect with themselves and others.
According to Paul Hawco, Executive Director of Integrated Wellbeing at Banyan Group, the new retreats are a response to a growing desire for deeper human connection. ‘Banyan Tree Connections was created in response to a growing longing for deeper human connection, and as the programme evolves, we are also enriching our spa and wellbeing experiences through thoughtfully curated gatherings,’ Hawco said.
Featured retreats in 2026 will include a variety of locations, each offering unique cultural and environmental experiences. The retreats are designed to be immersive, with a focus on both personal reflection and shared experiences, making them ideal for individuals or small groups seeking meaningful travel and wellness journeys.
Expansion of Private Immersions for Two
The launch of Connections Retreats follows the successful introduction of Banyan Tree Connections in 2025, a private complete wellbeing immersion designed for two people. This programme has been available at select Banyan Tree properties, including Banyan Tree Anji in China, Banyan Tree Mayakoba in Mexico, Banyan Tree Phuket in Thailand, and Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru in the Maldives.
The Connections programme integrates movement, mindfulness, and shared rituals to nurture both inner balance and relational harmony between partners, friends, or family members. According to Banyan Group, the programme has been well-received by guests, with many returning for additional sessions and recommending the experience to others.
Alongside the expansion of the Connections programme, Banyan Tree continues to grow its Visiting Practitioner Programme, which brings internationally recognized wellbeing experts to select destinations for limited-time residencies. These sessions range from workshops and day retreats to bespoke private consultations, offering guests a chance to engage with diverse healing modalities and global wellbeing expertise.
Partnership with Manduka and the Wellbeing Sanctuaries
Complementing these initiatives, Banyan Tree has entered a global partnership with Manduka, the world’s leading brand of performance yoga mats and accessories. Manduka’s equipment will be integrated into selected destinations, and Manduka-affiliated practitioners will lead selected retreats and Visiting Practitioner residencies, creating wellbeing journeys rooted in purpose, presence, and meaningful connection.
Additionally, Banyan Tree has introduced Wellbeing Sanctuaries, dedicated room categories at its resorts around the world. These sanctuaries offer curated sleep rituals, nourishing cuisine, and destination-inspired daily practices, alongside thoughtfully designed in-room amenities that encourage mindfulness and gentle movement.
Banyan Group, which operates under the name Banyan Tree Holdings Limited (SGX: B58), is an independent, global hospitality company with a focus on design-led experiences and responsible stewardship. The introduction of Connections Retreats and the expansion of the Connections programme reflect the company’s ongoing efforts to meet the evolving needs of its guests and to provide meaningful, significant experiences that align with its core values.
The new initiatives also highlight Banyan Group’s strategic focus on global partnerships and innovation, as seen in its collaboration with Manduka. These efforts are expected to enhance the brand’s reputation and attract a wider audience of travelers seeking wellness-focused experiences.
As the company continues to expand its portfolio of wellness offerings, the impact of these initiatives on the travel and wellness industries is likely to be significant. By integrating cultural, environmental, and personal elements into its programmes, Banyan Group Singapore is setting a new standard for complete travel experiences that are both meaningful and sustainable.
