The project was first teased by former NBA player Kenny Smith during the NBA Tip-Off show, prompting a reprimand from Shaquille O’Neal for revealing the unannounced documentary. Stiller responded with humor, saying, “Thanks to my PR guy, Shaq.”

Behind the Scenes of the Knicks Documentary

The documentary will be produced in collaboration with A24 and HBO, with full support from the NBA and Madison Square Garden, the Knicks’ home arena, Stiller, a longtime Knicks fan, has been courtside throughout the playoffs, capturing behind-the-scenes moments with his phone.
