Gamescom 2026 will feature a diverse lineup of titles from major game developers, with Nintendo and Krafton among the key participants. The event, which has grown in prominence since the decline of E3, will be held in Cologne from August 26 to 30, and will include both in-person and virtual experiences.

Nintendo’s Gamescom 2026 Lineup

Nintendo has announced its full lineup for Gamescom 2026, which includes a mix of first-party and third-party titles, as From Nintendo, the company will showcase Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, Splatoon Raiders, and Pokémon Pokopia. Third-party titles include 007 First Light, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, and EA Sports FC 27, as Attendees can find Nintendo at Hall 9 during the event.

In addition to these titles, Metaphor: ReFantazio and Minecraft Dungeons 2 will also be available, alongside Orbitals and Pokémon Pokopia as part of an expansion pass. Notably, Nintendo has not yet shared Nintendo Switch 2 versions of these titles, but they are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.

Krafton’s Global Push with Five New Titles

Krafton, known for its PUBG franchise, has announced it will bring five new titles to Gamescom 2026, including an unnamed PUBG Studios project — this first-person shooter is set in the deep forests and small towns of the Pacific Northwest and will make its global debut at the event.

Other titles from Krafton include No Law, an open-world cyber-noir FPS set in the port city of Port Desire; Project Zeta, a multi-team tactical arena game; and Age Twisters, a two-player co-op adventure. Krafton will also showcase TARAE: The Unbound, a dark fantasy title set in an Eastern-inspired world.

Krafton plans to use the event to strengthen its presence in the European market and expand its global IP portfolio, though the company has reserved Hall 9 for its exhibition and will host live demonstrations and on-site events.

Gamescom 2026 as a Global Platform

According to reports, Gamescom has become a key event in the gaming calendar, drawing developers and fans alike. The show will feature both digital and in-person components, with Geoff Keighley hosting the Opening Night Live — a virtual event known for world premieres and gameplay reveals.

Other major developers expected to participate include Capcom, Xbox, and Bandai Namco. Notable playable titles will include Mega Man: Dual Override and Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, both of which will be playable for the first time at the event.

The German Association of the Video Game Industry has continued to support the dual format of the event, ensuring it remains a major draw for both industry professionals and gaming enthusiasts. With more than 500 exhibitors expected, Gamescom 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated gaming events of the year.
