In Dover, members of a new group called Patriot Platform wore balaclavas and chanted “Christ is King” and “Stop the Boats.” The protesters, organized by Danny Thomas (known as Danny Tommo), staged multiple demonstrations, including one in Portsmouth to block coaches carrying migrants who had arrived illegally from France.

New Tactics in Anti-Immigration Protests

These tactics mark a new development in British far-right activism, bearing little resemblance to earlier confrontations seen with the English Defence League (EDL) under Tommy Robinson. “I seriously thought we’d been invaded by Russians,” said Dover resident Robin Burkhardt. Thomas claimed on Instagram that the protests were a “warning” to authorities.

Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood met with senior police officers and urged them to make full use of their powers to prevent face coverings and disruptive protests. “These scenes have caused disruption for people and, given that people are dressed in black wearing balaclavas, there is a fear factor and obvious malign intent being communicated to our residents,” she said.

Anti-Woke Backlash Against ‘GTA 6’

Democrats Move Toward Anti-Tariff Stance

Chuck Schumer introduced the End Trump’s Tariff Tax Act to revoke and refund Trump’s global and Canadian tariffs.
