Ed Gamble, a prominent figure in British comedy and podcasting, has announced a new stand-up show titled Fresh Hell, which is set to tour extensively across the United Kingdom and Ireland from January 30, 2027, through June 26, 2027. The tour will begin in Ipswich and will conclude at Swansea’s Grand Theatre, with over 50 dates scheduled across the country. Tickets for the tour will be available for general sale starting on March 27, 2026, at 10am.
Continuing the Stand-Up Legacy
Fresh Hell follows Gamble’s previous stand-up show, Hot Diggity Dog, which he toured across the UK in 2024. The show was well-received and marked a significant step in Gamble’s career, showcasing his unique blend of observational humor and personal anecdotes. Prior to this, in 2023, Gamble released his debut book, Glutton: The Multi-Course Life Of A Very Greedy Boy, which detailed his experiences with food, gluttony, and the absurdity of modern life.
Gamble’s stand-up career has been a steady climb in the UK comedy scene, with his performances drawing large crowds and critical acclaim. His ability to connect with audiences through self-deprecating humor and sharp wit has made him a fan favorite. Fresh Hell is expected to be another highlight in his ongoing stand-up journey, following the success of Hot Diggity Dog.
Podcasting and Other Projects
When not on the road performing, Gamble continues to be active in the podcasting world. He co-hosts the popular podcast Off Menu with fellow comedian James Acaster. The duo will also be taking their live show, Off Menu Live: The Tasting Menus, to London’s Royal Albert Hall from March 13 to 16, 2026. Tickets for this event are currently on sale.
In addition to his podcasting work, Gamble has also been hosting the podcast The Traitors: Uncloaked over the past couple of years. This show explores the psychology and strategies behind the popular reality TV show The Traitors, offering insights and analysis from a comedic perspective.

New Panel Show on TLC
In addition to his stand-up tour, Ed Gamble is set to host a new panel show titled Unacceptable, which will air on free-to-air channel TLC this summer. The show will feature teams of comedians led by Richard Ayoade and Joanne McNally, who will compete to win over a live studio audience with their most outrageous opinions.
The show will use a live ‘swingometer’ to track how many audience members each team wins over, with Gamble introducing challenges that force contestants to act on the opinions they’ve been defending. The series will run for six hour-long episodes and is produced by Ranga Bee Productions, the company founded by comedian Romesh Ranganathan and producer Benjamin Green.
Ranganathan stated, ‘We are delighted to be making Unacceptable for TLC. It’s a new format that allows comics to debate the sort of opinions they normally only discuss backstage. With Ed helming and Richard and Joanne leading the teams, it’s going to be an incredibly sharp and funny series. We realized that as comedians rarely admit they’re wrong, the only option was to create a show that lets the people decide.’
Gamble expressed his enthusiasm for the new show, saying, ‘I’m absolutely buzzing to be hosting this brand-new format for TLC. It’s always been my dream to see some of the biggest comedy legends around expose and justify opinions that really should’ve stayed in the group chat. Dreams can come true.’
TLC’s Comedy Line-Up
The commission of Unacceptable is one of several comedy formats TLC has announced since relaunching as a free-to-air channel at the start of this year. Other shows include Mock The Week, which has just been recommissioned for a second series, and Zero Stars, a new series fronted by Roisin Conaty and Sara Pascoe, though full details of the latter have yet to be announced.
Graham Lafferty, who oversees content strategy for Warner Bros. Discovery UK and Ireland, said, ‘With Ed Gamble as host and Richard Ayoade and Joanne McNally as team captains, we think this is a great addition to TLC’s line-up.’ The show was ordered by Lafferty and commissioned by Charlotte Reid.
With Fresh Hell set to begin in early 2027, fans of Ed Gamble can look forward to a year of stand-up performances across the UK and Ireland. In addition, the launch of Unacceptable on TLC is expected to bring a new level of excitement to the comedy scene in the summer of 2026.
As the tour dates are finalized, ticket sales are expected to be high, given Gamble’s popularity and the anticipation surrounding his new show. The combination of his stand-up tour and the new panel show will keep him in the spotlight for much of the year.
