Richard Hatch, who won the inaugural season of the reality TV show ‘Survivor,’ has delivered a scathing critique of Donald Trump, calling him the ‘worst human being’ he has ever met. Hatch made the remarks after his participation in the fourth season of Trump’s show, ‘The Celebrity Apprentice,’ which aired in 2011.

Accusations of Manipulation and Harassment

Hatch, who spent three years with Trump prior to joining the NBC reality competition, described the former president as ‘grotesquely manipulative.’ He said Trump was ‘all about what he can get out of any situation,’ adding that he watched Trump ‘use the room to his desperate need for attention.’

Hatch also claimed that Trump made ‘sexual comments’ to ‘all of the women’ competitors, including in front of his daughter Ivanka Trump. The 2016 Trump campaign denied these allegations, calling them ‘completely false’ at the time.

When asked about Trump’s behavior ‘one-on-one,’ Hatch described him as someone who ‘would play people, talk to this one person and then turn around and tear them down to the next person.’

Allegations of Racist and Sexist Behavior

Trump has faced multiple allegations regarding his conduct on ‘The Apprentice’ and its successor, ‘The Celebrity Apprentice.’ One of the most notable accusations involved the use of the N-word to refer to Kwame Jackson, the runner-up from the 2004 season of ‘The Apprentice.’

In a 2024 interview with CNN’s Abby Phillip, Jackson said he never heard Trump use the slur directly but acknowledged the possibility that he may have done so. He added that he ‘never known Mr. Trump to be comfortable around Black people.’

A Trump spokesperson dismissed the allegations in a 2024 statement, calling them a ‘completely fabricated and bullshit story.’

Former crew members on ‘The Apprentice’ also accused Trump of making openly inappropriate remarks about women’s bodies, including their breast sizes. In his 2004 book ‘How to Get Rich,’ Trump wrote that all the women on the show flirted with him ‘consciously or unconsciously.’

‘That’s to be expected. A sexual dynamic is always present between people, unless you are asexual,’ he wrote at the time.

End of an Era for Trump’s Show

NBC terminated Trump as host of ‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ in 2015 due to his anti-immigrant rhetoric on the campaign trail. The network later attempted to replace Trump with former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger as host of ‘The New Celebrity Apprentice’ in 2017, but the show was ultimately discontinued.

Hatch’s recent comments have reignited discussions about Trump’s behavior on the show and his broader conduct. The remarks come as Trump faces ongoing scrutiny over his past actions and statements, particularly in the context of his 2024 presidential campaign.

With Trump’s 2024 campaign entering its final stretch, Hatch’s comments could serve as a reminder of the controversies that have surrounded the former president throughout his career. The implications of these allegations, both for Trump’s political future and the legacy of his reality TV shows, remain to be seen.
