The accused, identified as High Court Maharaja, Priyadharshini, and Dhanalakshmi, have been charged with robbery and other serious offenses.

According to police, Priyadharshini, 20, initiated contact with the 48-year-old tahsildar from Tiruvallur through a dating app. She convinced him to meet her in person, and during the meeting, the tahsildar arrived wearing 25 sovereigns of gold jewelry and carrying additional ornaments in his bag. The meeting took place in Sholinganallur, a suburb of Chennai, where the trio were later arrested.

High Court Maharaja, 32, allegedly took photographs of the tahsildar and his wife during the encounter. He then threatened to leak the photos online unless the victim handed over his gold and cash. Panicked, the tahsildar complied with the demand and left the scene. The incident was reported to the police, leading to the arrest of the three individuals.

A History of Criminal Activity

High Court Maharaja has a long history of criminal activity, with multiple pending charges against him. Police stated that he faces serious criminal charges, including robbery, murder, attempted murder, human trafficking, and extortion.
