InterDigital Inc., a leading wireless and AI technology research and development company, will showcase major innovations at Mobile World Congress 2026. The company will highlight its work in artificial intelligence, wireless communication, and video technologies at Hall 5, Stand 5C51 in Barcelona.
According to InterDigital, the event will feature demonstrations of AI-enabled services, 6G research, and immersive experiences that use the latest wireless advancements. The company’s CTO, Rajesh Pankaj, said the event will highlight how AI, wireless, and video expertise are converging to create smarter, more responsive, and immersive technologies.
One of the key demonstrations will be AI-enabled teleoperation, where remote vehicle operators use real-time video to handle complex environments. AI agents will assist in maintaining video quality despite degraded network conditions, ensuring safe navigation of remote vehicles.
InterDigital and Türk Telekom will also reveal the world’s first implementation of collaborative sensing using preliminary 6G architecture. This technology fuses cellular and Wi-Fi signals to provide real-time, continuous sensing results for applications in manufacturing, healthcare, and situational awareness.
The company will also display its 6G research, focusing on expanding network capacity and integrating communication and computing capabilities to support emerging AI applications. The research aims to enhance user experiences across 5G-Advanced and 6G networks.
In collaboration with Razer, InterDigital will showcase haptic-enabled streaming technologies, aiming to popularize haptics through innovation, education, and standardization. Interactive augmented reality (AR) experiences will also be featured, powered by InterDigital’s contributions to 3GPP and MPEG standards.
InterDigital will participate in several industry events at MWC 2026, including the AI Telco Troubleshooting Challenge. The competition, organized by GSMA and other global standards bodies, seeks AI models that improve network resilience and efficiency. Winners will be announced on March 3 at a networking event in Hall 8.
Doug Castor, Head of InterDigital’s Wireless Research, will join a Global 6G Industry Alliance Executive Dialogue on March 3, bringing together 6G leaders from North America, Europe, and Asia. Milind Kulkarni, Head of Wireless Labs, will participate in a 6G Community Roundtable on March 5, discussing the transition from research to standardization.
InterDigital, founded in 1972, is a global research and development company focused on wireless, video, and AI technologies. Its innovations are licensed worldwide to companies producing wireless devices, consumer electronics, IoT devices, and cloud-based services.
